1. Next week is a short week! Full day: Monday Half day: Tuesday with Noon dismissal Have a great break :) 2. I am sure you have heard all about our rock study. Today we did a food experiment with Mrs. Prager's class to show each different type of rock. Igneous rock: We showed the bowl of ice cream as the volcano and melted the chocolate to show the magma. We stuck it in the freezer to harden the magma (chocolate) back into a solid making an igneous rock. Sedimentary rock: We showed the bowl as the ocean and put rice krispies, M&M's and chocolate chips to show how different sediments come together to make something new. Metamorphic rock: We combined graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolate, and gummy worms. We put it in the microwave to apply heat and then crushed it with another plate to apply the pressure. It was super fun! I attached a video if you want to try it out together! :) 3. A big congratulations to our First Honey Bee of the Week!!!
